Workshop
The Kria Cycles workshop is located at the Old Harbour in Reykjavík. We offer a professional maintenance service that caters for all types of bikes. Maintenance is charged by the hour at 4000ISK with any replacement or new parts charged at an extra cost. In addition to the hourly rates there are 2 levels of comprehensive bicycle service:
- Service 1 - 6000 ISK

This is a general service to ensure the trouble free day to day running of your bike and should be carried out every 3 months or so. Included in this service is:
- Cleaning of frame & forks
- Hubs, rims and tyres checked for wear & tear
- Wheels trued and spokes re-tensioned
- Headset and bottom bracket checked & adjusted
- All bolts checked & tightened to correct torque
- Brakes adjusted for optimum operation
- Chain cleaned & re-lubricated
- Gears adjusted for correct operation
- Service 2 - 15000 ISK

This is a major service that should be carried out at least once a year. It involves a complete stripping down and re-assembly of the bike and includes all of the work in Service 1 plus:
- Frame cleaned & checked for alignment & damage
- Frame threads cleaned
- Hubs disassembled, cleaned, inspected & reassembled
- Headset removed, cleaned, re-greased (if applicable), refitted & checked for movement
- All other components removed, checked for wear, cleaned & re-lubricated
- If necessary new grips/bar tape and a cable set will be fitted
